2016 Chevrolet Equinox To Launch In Mexico Later This Year
The Chevrolet Equinox has been one of the biggest sellers for the Chevrolet brand in recent years, making it a staple of the brand’s lineup. Now, the 2016 Chevrolet Equinox is gearing up to head south, as Chevrolet announces the crossover’s launch in Mexico.
“Chevrolet Equinox has a great position in the U.S. and we are confident that thanks to all the features that comprise the 2016 model, it will also quickly be positioned among the favorites of the Mexican market,” said Roberto Lerma, Marketing Manager of SUVs, Pickups Chevrolet Commercial Vehicles.
“Along with the announcement of the arrival of the new Chevrolet SUV to Mexico, we also started a special pre-sale that begins in September for those who want to be the first to buy it,” he concluded.
The 2016 Equinox will launch in Mexico with many of the same features that have made the CUV so popular in the United States, including the Chevrolet MyLink infotainment system and OnStar. Under the hood remans the same, too. The 2016 Equinox will still receive the 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, producing 182 hp.
Chevrolet says the 2016 Equinox will be available in the fourth quarter of 2015, and will launch familiar LS, LT and LTZ trims.
