Zodiak, Televisa take Stand Up to TVN Poland

TV show Stand Up For Your Country has conquered Polish audiences, leading the free-to-air (FTA) channel TVN to take a 15.5% share and top prime time ratings.

The local adaptation, Aplauz, Aplauz!, arrived in Poland following the success of Televisa's Pequeños Gigantes. The format beat the talent show Must be the Music, the tenth season of which was premiering at the same time on Polsat, TVN's main competitor.

Stand Up For Your Country, which is co-produced by Zodiak Media and La Competencia, also achieved great numbers on social TV, as #aplauzaplauz became national trending topic and registered over 20,000 comments on Twitter.

After its success in Mexico, Argentina, Brazil and Spain, the format has been purchased by networks in over 20 countries and local adaptations will soon be released in South Africa, Russia, Colombia and Chile.

Since November 2014 the format has been internationally managed by Mexico's Televisa after it signed a content deal with Zodiak Media.
