Mexico will start production of "La Voz Kids" that will air in 2017 and we have the name of the coaches and mentors. Confirmed to coach the inaugural season are Maluma, Mijares and Emmanuel as one unit and Rosario Flores, the Spanish singer and "Talk To Her" actress. This stellar cast will be joined by a trio of mentors that will work along with the coaches to help in the development of the kids. Maite Perroni, Playa Limbo's María León and Samo from Camila, will also be part of the reality show competition. Televisa will be producing the kids version of the show concurrently with "La Voz México" but will not air until next year, this is an effort to save on production costs and take advantage of the sets.

"La Voz México" just started airing this past weekend on the Televisa network. Gloria Trevi, J Balvin, Los Tigres Del Norte and Alejandro Sanz are the coaches of this season. The format of the show is just like the NBC version that emphasizes the vocal talent. The coaches sit on a seat with their backs facing the stage. A talented singer hits the stage and auditions. If any of the coaches like what they hear and are moved by their voice, they press a red button in front of them, which makes their chair rotate and reveal the contestant. If there is more than one coach that liked the singer, the power is shifted to them. This means that the coaches will have to plea their case as to why they're the better one to work with. The participante then chooses the singer they want to be mentored by to lead them to the finale.

"La Voz Kids" has the same format but the age of the contestants are lowered. Telemundo has been producing their own version for Latino audiences for three succesful seasons. The Spanish-language network just started airing its 4th season with Natalia Jimenez, Daddy Yankee and Pedro Fernandez as coaches. Jorge Bernal and Paty Manterola host the competition show. This year, the show is introducing the "Wild Card" which is where fans will be able to save for their favorite contestants. In seasons pasts there's always a kid that gets dropped from the show and viewers wished they had the opportunity to give them another opportunity. With this new feature on the program, we won't have any excuses if our favorite one goes home.
